The UK Office of Fair Trading announced yesterday that it has launched a criminal investigation into possible anti-competitive practices of commercial vehicle manufacturers.

We’ll be watching this closely to see where it leads.
It’s reported that searches were conducted earlier this week and a possible arrest made although it is reported that the person was subsequently released on bail.
In its statement the OFT says: “The investigation is at an early stage. The OFT will not be in a position to conclude whether it considers the law has been infringed until it has completed its investigation and assessed the available evidence.”
