Barry Vitou quoted in Legal Week on the Bribery Act

Print Friendly

Barry Vitou was quoted in Legal Week in an article on the Bribery Act. In the article various lawyers said that they anticipated that the new law would enter into force and that changes to the guidance would be limited.  In the article Barry was quoted:

“It’s inconceivable that it will come into law in any fundamentally different way,” says Pinsent Masons partner and co-author of, Barry Vitou (pictured). “The UK has been subjected to widespread, justified international criticism that our existing patchwork of anti-bribery laws aren’t fit for purpose. The US already thinks nothing of prosecuting overseas businesses and if our laws don’t change, they’ll just do it for us.”
