Speaking earlier this week the Director of the SFO made his clearest threat yet about the imminence of visible Bribery Act enforcement acitivity:

The quote from a speech on Wednesday speaks for itself:

“We are already using compulsory powers in a number of cases.  The cases that we are looking at are the biggest and most complex and so will take time to develop but it will not be too long before we see Court activity.  The impact of this will be very considerable. I am very optimistic about this.  Enforcement activity under our Bribery Act will make a real difference.” [our emphasis]
